Year of the Spy 007 January 14th 2007 The Spring Peace and greetings to all, yup, it's been a little while since the site's been updated... but really there hasnt been much news to post other than the usual life shit that we all go through... but i guess ya here checking this so here's a little bit of what's been going on in the life of the Urban Camper... 2006... done and gone! full of travels, trials and tribulations, but we still here and we still pushing fwd... about to bounce out to Asia again... after a little stint in Tdot for some fundraising, I'm back on the island and clearing my head for another tour of duty! check me out in Malaysia, KL, for the month of February as I'll be doing a series of shows at Laundry - A Dhobi Live - and will feature guest spots and some innovative live hip hop with a new toy i'll be travelling with... wait and see... After KL i'll be in Jakarta for the month of March for the Jawa Jazz Festival and to finish up recording the Diplomats Int. album with my homies out there... I know ya waiting for that too!!! April - August we'll be roaming Asia rocking shows and what not... 2007 is all about progress, so look out for the reports! also, big up to my man Sabotawj who just put out his mixtape - Key 2 Da City - featuring ya boy Vandal! werd, i'll try and keep these updates coming as time goes by and ya boy flies! much respects and thanks for coming through and showing your support! peace, VanZ

Full Cirlce July 22nd 2006 Salt Spring Island Greetings people! After another lengthly excursion to the Far Out East we're back on Canadian soil!!! Oh how we love BC in the summer :) First off, I gotta give megahuge props to everyone out in Indonesia who made the Urban Camping adventure unforgettable - My crew, the Diplomats International, Mistah, Ras Muhamad, Mistah, DJ Nasa, Wizow, Tech'1, Scope, Illsteez,Ndru and the Soul.I.D fam, Yacko, DJ Flame, DJ Ethnic, Ditto, Doniel & the Marstrack fam, Herdi Oflo, Saykoji (I wanna ,see that video!!!), Da Flow, Sova, Demajors, Andez & Larry, my peeps from the Kos (times i wont forget!), Sairupa my love and her Fam, Big up Jovee and Dumbqi out in Bandung, Yoyoyo and anyone else I forgot.. sorry... but yeah, there could be some more writing in the works... maybe a book? many collabos and shows were the result of the trip with a few stops in HK, KL and Singapore... Thanks to Pop Shuvit for the show in KL and Penang!!! Well, now that we're back in Canada (though there could be another short tour in the horizon) there are BIG plans in the works... Keep your ears and eyes peeled... Ahhhh, gotta love bloggs... especially when you accidentally erase what you've written... Pass Da Mic & Asia Calling January 28th 2006 Salt Spring Island Peace and greetings, Just a quick message to let you know that the video for Lion City will be airing Jan 29th on Shaw Cable 20 Vancouver on Pass Da Mic. There's also a short interview as well, so check it out!!! Also... Nomadic addcit Vandal will be heading back to Asia again, this time hooking up with DJ Howl for some shows in China and Malaysia... Return from Asian Tour December 9th 2005 Toronto Greetings people, wow... What a trip we have just returned from! First off I wanted to thank Foreign Affairs Canada for their support of "The Rebirth of a Classic Tour". I also want to thank my brother and partner in rhyme - Symbolik and of course my man, the 2003 World DMC Champion, DJ Dopey for tearing shit up and making the tour go smooth like butter! You guys are a dream to travel with for real!!! I'll be sending out a newsletter in the very near future with extracts from the tour diary for everyone who wants to know about what went down... Well, before I mentioned that the album will be released in Malaysia and Australia. We have delayed the release til the new year to coincide with future travel plans... Vandal will be heading out west to BC for the holidays and will be doing short stint on the Left Coast before heading to South East Asia for a new project... to be revealed soon... again, thanks to all the people who came out to support us on tour, the crew in Beijing, Shanghai and Ulan Bator... The fam in Taiwan... Jhongli baby!!! As well, shouts to the OceanBun in Shirahama, Japan!!! and thanks to Maria at HKYAF for having us come through and do a workshop! The Rebirth of a Classic Tour September 29th 2005 Toronto Greetings all, Just letting you know about a big Tour Vandal, DJ Dopey and Symbolik will be undertaking next month... The Rebirth of a Classic Tour will be hitting China, Mongolia, Australia, Japan, Taiwan and Hong Kong from Oct 15th til Dec 5th 2005. We will be updating the news hopefully on a regular basis to keep you all informed... The tour will also see the release of Vandal's album in both Malaysia and Australia & New Zealand. Also... The video for Lion City is ready and will be online really soon... if you want a copy, just email us and we'll send you the link to download it! On a finally Toronto note, Vandal will be rocking a show this Sunday Oct 2nd at El Mocambo for Militant Massive's Heavy Hitters Ball. Show will start at 9PM... Be there to send off Vandal in style... Another note... The Blackalicious show went really well, we got an amazing response from all who were there and sold out of CD's!!!! 416 Graff Expo + Back to School August 17th 2005 Toronto Greetings & Salutations It's been a long hot summer in Toronto and it looks like it's going to wind down with loads of action. August 20th and 21st will bring about the 10th annual 416 Graffiti Expo and you can look for Vandal to hit the stage on Saturday the 20th at 4:30PM. Fun for the whole family. For more info on the 416 ... Toronto Hip Hop represent!!! As August unfolds into the fall Vandal will also be making a special appearance at York University's Frosh Week event on September 2nd and then another FREE event - Street Impact - at Dundas Square on September 10th to celebrate Skateboard Culture in the city. Toronto will also welcome back Blackalicious on September 13th at Mod Club Theatre, a concert that will feature Vandal performing a short set to open the show. We're holding on to some more news as we await confirmation on a few things, but this should be announced fairly soon so keep checking the site for updates, usually once a month as it seems to be going lately... Street Release & Shows June 27th 2005 Toronto As we proceed... The street release of 'The Rebirth of a Classic Obsession will be made available locally in Toronto at selected store by July 20th. For now the only way to get a copy is through email or if you see Vandal around the city... If you missed it, Vandal was on RED FM in Malaysia to drop the Malaysian premier of KLX... The MP3 is not yet available... We'll let you know when it is... In other news... Vandal will be performing together with The Herbalizer on Thusday June 30th, Check the shows button for more info on the event... KLX on RED FM in Malaysia June 26th 2005 Toronto Malaysia's RED FM 104.9 will be premiering KLX this Sunday June 26th on Spin. Spin runs from 8pm - 10pm and you can catch Vandal Live on Air at 9pm. Peace, Vandal

KLX Video Shoot and Limited Edition album May 16th 2005 Toronto Greetings all, much has happend since the last news update, I wish I had more time to keep these updates coming regularly, but such is the life a the Urban Camper... So... Thursday May 26th Vandal will be shooting the last scenes for his KLX video at Grange Park in downtown Toronto. Get in touch with Vandal if you want to be a part of the video. Half the video has already been shot in KL, Malaysia and we are now wrapping up the production here in Toronto to get it ready for the launch of the album... TROACO, the Limited Edition release, will hit the streets of Toronto on May 20th. Only 100 copies of this release will be pressed, so get them while you can... on May 20th Vandal will be throwing down a short set at the El Mocambo in Toronto for M1 Academy's Jam Session, come through if you are in the area. Look out for the official release coming really soon!!!!

TROACO March 20th 2005 Toronto Wassup people, as the spring emerges out of the cold we are planning on really heating things up! The new album, which is on its way, has been gathering speed and will be reaching you in the not to distant future. The Great Escape 2005 January 26th 2005 Toronto Yes y'all do I have some news for you... Not only is the next album on the way, things are really beginning to 'move' for the urban camper here... so check it out... Myself and Melissa Rey will be participating in The Great Escape 2005 global scavenger hunt, which will take us to over 10 countries spanning 4 continents in 23 days!!! This event is intended to raise money for charity and will not be shown on TV like 'The Amazing Race'... We leave on April 15th from LAX and return to NYC on May 8th... Seasons Greetings December 24th 2004 Bee Cee Yes, it's been a little while... Vandal and the Urban Camping crew have been working hard in the lab to bring the people the next installment from the Nomadic Addict and it's been quite the journey. Just wanted to take the time to send love and blessings to all this upcoming new year. And of course to let you know that you can catch Vandal live at LampLighters in Vancouver on the 10th of January alongside his cohort from SMC, Man Name Who. Other highlights of the night include performances by Green Tara, Triple Threat and Chi Turner check the shows pop up for more details.
